Picture Grandma’s house and the double bell door ringer in the hallway. Now picture that ringer five feet in front of your head and it’s ringing 24 hours a day. That is my tinnitus.
It came on like someone flipped a light switch, and after 80 hours of no sleep, the hospital knocked me out.
Turns out the tinnitus hertz matched the frequency of my hearing loss, so relief was gained by hearing aids with sound maskers matching the lost frequencies.
Best $7k we ever spent, would have paid that times tem for the relief achieved.
Glad you found some relief.
I’ll have to check into that. Thanks.
Almost funny, both my paternal grandparents were deaf. My parents were concerned I would be born deaf. No, great hearing.
Until the tinnitus came knocking on the door when I was 50-51.
