Nobody is forcing them. Their ego is leading them to put themselves in their family at risk by getting into expensive airplanes that they have no idea how to fly. Money cannot buy professional piloting experience but it can buy all the hardware.
Why not just fly first class on a major carrier? Relax in the sky lounge until you board. That’s what I would do. But, I’m guessing there is probably a game of oneupmanship among the super rich as to who can have the more remote and exotic holiday vacation. Live hard, play hard kind of mentality...amoung uber competitive types.
