I understand that it takes about 2 weeks after you get the flu shot
for the body's immune system to kick in
and provide through protection from that variant of the virus.

2 weeks is the norm.

My wife, an RN and the doctor, she worked with for 35 years, felt that older and immune compromised patients needed about 4 weeks.
