The NFL has been big on theater - giant flag, military honor guards, patriotic displays - but when a slew of overpaid idiots insult us all, they showed their true Progressive colors.
When Impy and the others put their usual NFL threads up, it just infuriates me.

I think one thing (at least) I can agree completely with you is the cowardly approach of the NFL leadership, that allowed this to get out of control.
They should have squashed this on day one, and that they didn’t is, to my eyes, the same kind of buckling under we have seen in this country to the likes of Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow Coalition, who used the threat of racism accusations to extort money from American corporations.
On day one, they should have made it clear that these types of demonstrations on television, under the corporate logo, should not be tolerated. At that point, if the players persisted and balked at punishment and tried to walk out, I would have lived with that as well.
And it may well come to that, the next time there is an incident the Left portrays as racial in nature with the associated orchestrated outrage by the Left. I think this is the legacy of eight years under Obama and his ilk.
I think in the end, water is going to find its own level.
