My mom’s husband’s grandson is a freshman at Clemson. Suddenly my mom is watching the game wearing an orange shirt, rooting for a team she probably never heard of six months ago. Pretty funny

I went to Gonzaga, my wife went to UTEP. She’s gone to a couple of games and watch parties, without ever really getting into it.

That changed last summer when I enrolled my 15YO son in a hoops camp at Gonzaga. Gave her the chance to spend a few days on campus. She saw how the players bonded with my 7YO grandson after camp had finished for the day.

On the final day, 8-9 players sat at a table for over 90 minutes, signing everything put in front of them, taking time to talk to each kid, and posing for hundreds of pictures, smiling the entire time.

Before we left, she spent over an hour in the Zag store, to find the right apparel for family members that didn’t make the trip with us.

It was my first time back on campus in 16 years. It’s my Fountain of Youth lol.

Yeah it's funny but good for her. We all need to cheer for the USA and being the best. Screw participation trophies 🏆.
