At 9 years old, huh. That explains the bows in her hair.
Sad. RIP.

She was believed to be the last person always be who knew Al Capone. Her father was an enforcer.

That has to be the Typo of The Year!
“Dies at 9”.
Rose Marie probably would have laughed about it herself.
I had no clue she was still among us till now.
To: nickcarraway
God rest you Rose Marie. You made me laugh.

She always seemed to be looking for a husband in her roles. Very funny. Glad to see she lived so long.

Just saw an article on her, I think, in a recent weekend edition of The Wall Street Journal. She had a long career.

I had no idea she was still alive.
She was quite a bit younger than I would have thought.

She also opened at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in 1947 for Bugsy Siegel when the Hotel opened originally. She said her first check from there bounced and Siegel personally wrote her a check for her pay.

Enjoyed her acting and humor, RIP.

>>The man-needy Rogers verbal jousts with Amsterdam whom she had known in real life since she was 11 were among the shows highlights.
If Rose Marie had married Morry Amsterdam, she’d have been Rose Marie Amsterdam... (or is that murried Morry?)

such luminaries as Jimmy Durante, Jackie Gleason, Red Skelton, Garry Moore, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Dinah Shore, Dean Martin, Merv Griffin and, frequently with Johnny Carson, on The Tonight Show. She outlived 'em all.
