You are very welcome. So glad you like it.
I got into early Italian lute after I fell in love with Vivaldi, who was from Venice. I worked backwards from him to this music.
Give this a listen:
Vivaldi, properly performed, is unmatched. Most recordings of his work are truly awful. Even great violinists and conductors simply got it terribly and tragically wrong — in tempo, spirit and tone. Rachel Podger OWNS it, and to hear her play and direct Vivaldi was one of the great music revelations of my life.

I just did! Once again, thank you very much for sharing. I must confess that I’ve always approached classical music, no, most music, kind of like barbecued ribs, in that, to my taste I like just about any chef’s take on ribs although I will say some are much better than others. Methinks I would be happy to eat at Rachel Podger’s restaurant as she served up a most tasty serving of Vivaldi !
I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a music ping list as the few we’ve had here have seemed to have vanished and it has been on of my joys to discover much new music thanks to fellow Freepers as well as attempt to share some of my favorites that my fellow FRiends may not have encountered. May I keep you in mind as a possible pingee as you certainly seem to have a well rounded musical background.
