As the sun set last Thursday evening, Paco noticed an unwanted visitor. But instead of running away, the tiny Chihuahua ran towards the potentially-deadly carnivore an adult coyote.
Jones caught it all on a video security system.
I noticed Paco wasnt in the room. As I walk out of the room, I come around the shed here and hes got his hair all up, hes all upset and I come around the corner and I see a big ole coyote, said Jones.
When Jones checked his recordings he found video of Paco taking on the coyote.
He actually, literally, was face to face with that coyote, 5 times his size. Stood his ground. Hid under the shed until I came out, said Jones.

Lol! That sounds like something my chihuahua Spanky would do! He’s so tough behind our sliding glass door ;)
I have a year old female. She replaced my old male who died. I once watched him take out a stray dog that wandered into my pasture. He was about 800 feet from the dog, I was about 400 feet from the dog trying to shoo it out before Reno could spot him, but to no avail. Reno spotted him and nailed him about 50 feet from it getting through the fence which was about 1,000 feet from when Reno first saw it. It was over pretty fast and that dig never had a chance. Just a furry white blur followed by a lot of fur flying.
My 15 pound dachshund raced from the door and grabbed a Rhodesian Ridgeback by the throat. The dog was so big, he backed up, trying to eyeball my dog hanging on his neck. He would've had no more luck trying to see his own dog tag! 'Ended friendly enough, though.
