I understand -and accept- ninja level cynicism by those who have watched years of gross lawlessness being swept under the swamp rugs.
However, that said, the Judiciary Committee -holding oversight over the DOJ- does appear to be following a different investigative method as they data-mine, map, and drop MOABs atop the subterranean network prior to entry.
Led by Chairman Bob Goodlatte, one of those vital judiciary committee members is Representative Jim Jordan; another is Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL):

Jarrett is one of the best legal journalists covering this story. Gaetz continues to knock it out of the park with each appearance. Based on the interview, it appears the final House Judiciary report will indeed claim that the Russian smears targeted against Trump were originated by corrupt DOJ officials who wanted to distract from the real Russian collusion that had taken place by Democrats. What will become of that report will be the next major question.

This is all bullshit.
Until Trump starts making bodies hit the floor Putin style, the WASHINGTONIANS are still in charge.

Jarrett has come so very far since his MSNBC days. And that was before MSNBC was the mess it is today. At best, in those days, Gregg came across as wishy-washy liberal. He’s a far cry from that today. Thank God.

the WASHINGTONIANS are still in charge... As of right now, absolutely they are, but this report will shake their foundations. What Trump will do with it is the question, but at a minimum I doubt he'll let Sessions continue to hide behind his recusal.

How about 2018 is the Year of Truth? ALL witnesses under oath, ALL hearings televised? That’s so difficult? I’m with the millions who can’t believe we have people “testifying” with no restrictions, and often with no oversight AT ALL. The Washington BS — essentially friends covering for friends — has GOT to stop.

Gaetz is new to Congress, as is Francis Rooney, who is also from Florida and equally outspoken against Mueller and the deep state. Maybe some new blood in Congress is just what the doctor ordered to help deal with this mess. They are being very bold with their public appearances the last few days, and don’t appear to be looking over their shoulder.

The House Judiciary Comittee is awesome. They are truly going after Team Sedition. DeSantis is another member out for blood. Former JAG, naval officer, patriot. Not out for fame, but a white hat patriot.
Lots of these guys are part of the House Freedom Caucus. Who got badmouthed on fr a year ago. The HFC is also pushing hard to reform the 702 process. Make them get warrants before spying on Americans.

DeSantis is awesome, another one from Florida. Trump recently gave his endorsement to him as hopefully the next Govenor of the state.

Always helps, thanks. Interesting that Gaetz didn't call Priestap out by name, but rather referred to him as “Strzok’s boss” which appears to be a common theme. Some posters at Treehouse are speculating that means he has flipped, and is now one of the ones now testifying against McCabe that Gaetz mentions, but there's no real proof of that possibility that I know of.

Jarrett called into Rose subbing for Hannity yesterday, very good interview. Yesterday’s Nick Searcy was must-listening as well. AND:
@TomFitton
Trust Mueller? The dirty little secret about the Obama IRS scandal is that it involved the FBI (under Mueller) and DOJ. @RealDonaldTrump Justice Department needs to get on the ball in draining the swamp.

In this very interview, Gaetz addresses Mueller's involvement whereby the required FBI checks and balances of the Uranium One sale approval were mysteriously circumvented.

The very people who were having their tax exempt status pulled filed some lawsuits, which got coverage at some point.
