Whatever the criminal outcome in this case, a civil case needs to be pursued. This dog-man needs to be stripped penniless and left without property. His willful negligence resulted in the death of someone's loved one.

I live in a rural area. Everyone owns dogs. The only problem dogs are the pit bulls. My neighbor's pit bull has already killed a neighborhood cat, and mauled three dogs.

I have *zero* tolerance for those who don’t secure their dogs and or allow them to run off leash in an unsecured area. I am a dog owner Btw.

Get in line. I doubt he has either.

FTA

“...he is being held on separate charges of assault, domestic violence, unlawful imprisonment and an outstanding warrant...in connection with an arrest Friday.”

I doubt you’d get more than the keys to his brother in law’s trailer, and the title to that Camaro out back with no wheels or engine.

I grew up on a farm. ANY dog that did such things would be shot IMMEDIATLEY, by the owner or neighbors. And we as neighbors to one another knew we were authorized to do so to ANY dog with such disposition.

...This dog-man needs to be stripped penniless and left without property....

Let me give you a clue -- he already is penniless and without property. He is currently being held in jail on $25K bond. If he could raise $2500 he would have been out. He has nothing to take away.

Pit bulls are the dog of choice for drug dealers and low-lifes. No one with any assets has pit bull dogs.

IMHO owning a pit bull should be punishable with prison.
