The issue is the FBI, because someone also followed those orders.
The agency conspired to and did abuse its power.
Harsh lessons need to be taught.

More salient question is, would you definitely give up your career/income to blow the whistle, especially knowing how the deck was stacked against you by the bureaucracy? If not, the rest of what you think is irrelevant.

It’s a stupid question you asked, because a person never knows what he will do in a tough situation until he’s in it. As I said before, if I remained silent after taking an oath, then I would deserve shame and scorn, as would anyone who tried to excuse my silence.
