I drove one once, called it the Blue Goose. Threw a rod on the freeway at about 70. Never stut down. Drove it to the the shop running on 7 with a 2” gash in the oil pan. Didn’t have much oil left when I got there but it was still running. Not sure what happened to the cars behind me. Still sold it for $700.

I have a 1983 Mazda RX-7.And I have 1979..... it was purchased right off the floor of the Montreal Auto Show and it was essentially one of the very first RX-7s that were shipped to North America. Still have it... haven't driven it for quite a while. Stored it away for that great rebuild project in the future 'when I have time'. Has about 60,000 miles on it.<./p>

Mine has new-ish silver paint, the original interior, but a replacement engine. One of my cousins fried the original motor.

Mine is also silver, original interior and has the original engine..... this is motivating me to try to see if I can get it going over this bit of a break over Christmas.

a true land barge You have no idea Chode, just like a barge if the motor stops you have no control whatsoever. Wherever it was pointed at the time is where you go, no steering and no brakes. Quite the eye opener for a brand new driver I can tell you!

Ours needs a new battery: a child opened the door and the light came on ...

I once had a 65' Rambler station wagon, and
all the seats including the front laid down - talk about your playground! After getting broadsided in the driver door of my 63' Stude GranTurismo by a kid in 65' Ranchero doing 45 mph I have an aversion to small cars.
