Obama’s lax discipline policies made schools dangerous
NY Post ^ | December 23, 2017 | Paul Sperry

Since President Barack Obama pressured educators to adopt a new code of conduct making it harder to suspend or expel students of color, even kids who punch out their teacher aren’t automatically kicked out of school anymore.

Previously, “If you hit a teacher, you’re gone,” said Peter Kirsanow, a black conservative on the US Commission on Civil Rights. But that’s no longer the case, he says, thanks to race-based discipline quotas sweeping the nation’s schools.

So the terrible thing is that Odungo is STILL screwing the United States by us still having in place horrific destructive policies shattering the ability to give instruction to students AND the Odungo policymakers still pushing their "black students should not be punished in greater numbers" garbage. If black students are doing the misdeeds in greater numbers than other students---including physically assaulting their teachers---then I don't care if they are punished in greater numbers. How ridiculous is it to decriminalize CRIMES just so they won't reflect more black students doing them than other students, even if it means teachers and other students are being assaulted and classrooms are being turned into fight arenas? And how disgusting is it to BRIBE school officials to go along with this, paid off with hefty bonuses? Yes, this is another way to destroy America, sending a message to black students that they can do as they please with impunity and that teachers in general are merely prey for students to assault at will. Then, with the complete breakdown of proper socialization, both at home and at school, you will end up with gangs of thugs who only know violence as a solution for everything. Of course, this will hack away at America's foundations as a civil society just as much as paying $150 BILLION to our enemy Iran did, just as much as gutting our military did, etc. etc. DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA at every level. Why is this sorry piece of garbage still above ground?

Get rid of the DOE, and fedgov involvement in local schools.

That’s the best solution. There is absolutely no Constituional authority for federal interference in an “education” system.

Education falls four square under states rights.

From my experience, I would not blame Hussein directly. I would blame affirmative action directly.

Incompetent administrators put in positions, they had no skills or motivations for.

All of it is to blame. Affirmative Action is color or gender preference for anyone other than white males. White males have been under attack by the government for 40 years and under obola it got a lot worse.

And California is looking to take it further - to make it harder to expel problem students from state-subsidized preschools. https://www.dailynews.com/2017/11/09/california-moves-to-curtail-expelling-children-from-preschool-yes-preschool/

[ Get rid of the DOE, and fedgov involvement in local schools. ]

The only fedgov involvement in schooling should be a a conference held ever four years outside a hotel in DC where each state sends 2-3 representatives to discuss what subjects should represent what grade for instance:

8th grade should have the following levels of proficiency in English, math, geography, science, etc...

These RECOMMENDATIONS ONLY are then used by the states themselves to HELP DESIGN their curriculum.

If a State wants to design their learning to surpass those standards, that is fine, is a state wants to stay below them, that is fine too. ( but most states would want to meet or exceed them for obvious reasons )

It should only cost the fedgov about 1 million AT MOST every four years.

DONE!

Let the states handle the rest! All the fed should ever do is a set a RECOMMENDED STANDARD, and that is it IF EV#EN THAT.

In Japan should you get expelled from school you best learn a trade requiring manual labor.

In America, You get multiple chances and if you screw up enough the state pays for you....

Funny how libtards pick and choose which counties they want to borrow policies from... They want to borrow from countries that have marxist schooling but want to ignore countries that use common sense.

I always tell libtards that the education system is broken because of Bush and Trump and that we should return to the system we had when America was #1 in the world in education, then I tell them it was BEFORE we had a Department of Education... Then their eyes gloss over in either disbelief of fury at me for telling the uncomfortable truth.

I’ve heard of only a couple of incidents where black students assaulted white teachers in my local area. However, I know that the Obama quotas are in effect. It seems that the teachers have to attend monthly sensitivity training meetings in years when their student write ups are disproportionate to the the ratio of black students in the schools. Teachers admit that there is a chilling effect on sending black students to the office when they are misbehaving. It must be creating that soft bigotry of low expectations problems again.

It’s the lefts bigotry of low expectations. They cannot fathom how certain people can act decently. So instead, they lower the standards.

The most serious threat to our nation’s freedom is our godless and Marxist-run schools! (pre-K through to university graduate school.)

Until blacks as a “class” begin to revere a good education nothing will change.

As it stands now, getting a good education is acting white.

There must be a huge oversupply of teachers if they can get anyone to work in those places.

It has to be demoralizing. Aside from being assaulted, most of them probably aren’t even paying attention to you.

As an urban high school teacher, this article is FACT. You cannot remove these feral students, no matter what they do. I’ve called security for many incidents, they are taken to their administrator, and 10 minutes later they are escorted back up. These kids know the system, and just do whatever they want because they can. I feel sorry for the few kids who do come to school, to learn perhaps, or just to have a childhood.

I never call security or involve administrators anymore, I just kick them out and let them: roam the halls, leave the campus, or do whatever they want to do. I can’t control the inane policies of our school, but I do control what goes on in the classroom. Of course all these feral students get a “gentleman’s D” and pass, because if you fail a “person of color” your teaching career may be over. I kid you not.

Here is an architectural solution. Build schools like inner-city convenience stores. There could be a plexiglass barrier between the teacher area and the rest of the classroom. (Except in Philadelphia). Papers and other materials could be passed through a slot. There could a separate passageway from each classroom to the Teacher’s lounge, then to the parking lot. For still more convenience, put the schools next to the prisons.

Those old timers, the grannies who were raising many of the children are long gone. Kids are being raised by the streets and some older brothers and sisters, for the most part.

A dad doesn’t exist, and mom is in jail or drugs or prostitution.
