Switzerland used to be less restrictive than the U.S. (from 1934 to 1998) In 1998 they bowed to European Union pressure and instituted controls that make them more restrictive than the U.S. in most areas, a little less restrictive in some.

Costa Rica used to be less restrictive than the U.S. They become more restrictive in the late 1970’s, as I recall.

Does any other country's government have a "Constitution" or other governing document that state what that government CANNOT do? This is what so much upset the first gay President of the USA spewing his disagreement with our form of government and the founders on PBS years before Bill Ayers launched him onto his historic rise to popularity and ultimately the Presidency in a land full of ignorant historic illiterates.
