there used to be a website: Voodoofunk.com that had all these great sides from the west coast of Africa. Benin High-life, such from Nigeria, etc. There were more than 30 hours worth of mixes that I downloaded. Unfortunately the website is gone and so is all that great music.. expect on my hard drive!
OK, I went to the You Tube site and listened to a handful. That’s all I could take. This is IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM any type of funk. The essence of funk is a groove. A tasty, tasty rhythmic groove. This stuff has “lackagroove”. It is the exact opposite of funk. THE FOUR LADS HAVE MORE FUNK THAN THIS!!!
