I'd love to join you down there in the Southland but my job keeps me here in New York for the time being. We are looking at North Carolina for a retirement home - maybe South Carolina a little too hot? Anyway, good luck down there.

Savannah by any chance? That is my favorite part of South Carolina. I could probably get used to living there.

Well Savannah is in Georgia. You are probably thinking of Charleston.

Charleston is amazing. You guys should go there for a long weekend soon and check it out. What great food and such a beautiful city, so much history. Friendly people. Homes are so much cheaper there too. Just don’t choose a flood zone.

I got to go there about 8 times in 3 years when my parents were moved there. Definitely check it out. Weather in fall and spring was identical to SoCal if SoCal ever had any refreshing rain.
