Lots of supposition. No one knows for sure. Boeing stock up .75%, so possibly no big deal, but who knows.
If it "changes the future of air power," then that means military application.
But???

Part of that is that Boeing stock has already gone up almost 100% in one year. One year.

Yes it says the defense arm of Boeing. Besides this: “It is believed to be a radical new craft using electric ‘hairdryer’ to allow it to land and take off vertically”
Pretty sure a passenger jet is never going to do that. Land and take off vertically I mean I don’t even what is this? That’s a rocket.
To: Strac6
Its a solar powered jet. Only problem is that it has to sit on the ramp for three weeks on sunny days to get the piwer for a 10 minute flight. The design won over its less efficient giant twisted rubber band model.

The scale model did look like skynet. Kind of amazing they went from design to working scale model in less than a month.

Based on the videos, they are going to need to work out a lot of kinks before something like that is put into use.

Color me skeptical, it looks like a lifting body with the wings of their "Bird of Prey", ho hum.
Remember they gave us "Monica", and IMHO if the air-inlet was above and behind the canopy instead of below, maybe it would have had a chance against the F-35.
I have way more faith in Northrup coming up with something that is a game changer, the X-47B is way ahead of it's time...

Boeing's defense arm is set to unveil a mysterious new plane - and says it will 'change future air power'
If it was important militarily, I assume it would not be revealed at all right now and would be classified as a military secret? So how does it change future air power?
