Interesting article but I think that a lot of what we’re seeing is the results of an ill-advised focus on secular politics. Politics is not a force for good, yet how much effort do we continue to spend on a failed strategy of political advocacy, instead of doing what the Bible tells us to do? Then we wring our hands when politics doesn’t deliver the results we want.

Subscribed to First Things for about a dozen years and had to stop as I was traveling too much back about 2011. It was always wonderful to get First Things and Modern Age and have such great and challenging articles to read and ponder. Sometimes they were over my head, but the challenge was worthwhile.
