I want to get a length of PVC pipe and turn it in as a potato gun at one of these events. That would be legitimate, the putzes in Sacramental made those illegal decades ago.
No such fun in California anymore. Back in the day I used to use golf balls for ammunition, my friend decided to aim it at one of those enclosed U-Haul trailers and the golf ball almost penetrated the side.

Getting the 'rockets' (ammo) is the had part. A launcher is nothing more than a piece of aluminum pipe, electrical contacts and a trigger (switch)
