Equestrian riding is not an inexpensive hobby, I will grant you that.
There are rural areas in Virginia where horseback riding is a common pastime. There are several people I know that ride (not competitively) who would not normally be considered wealthy. It helps if you have inherited farm land, which many in Central Virginia still do.
I would not be so quick to dismiss the influence of gangs in the area, either. The rural parts of Virginia along the Blue Ridge most definitely have Hispanic gang problems. So does the metro Richmond area, of which Goochland County is part.
And it is not common in these parts to see a young white woman—particularly if she is from a wealthy family—wearing a tattoo like that.
Oddly enough, the very first person to post on her FB timeline, *before* anyone else seemed aware of her death and before someone had posted the link to her death, to answer her followers’ confusion, was a guy named Lopez.
He laughed and asked how it felt to be “killed by something lower than yourself”.
Now, given her obvious right wing/Confederate flag waving, gun shooting tendencies, and that it’s coming out that she’d not been on FB for several months due to “death threats”, there may be a Hispanic angle...just not the one you think.
The ‘gloating over her death’ comments made by Lopez have been removed.
By whom, I do not know.
So this I just found, to answer your accusation, specifically.
