Court records show a Cassandra Renae White, 34, and a 16-year-old boy, filed for a marriage license in Cleveland County on December 13, which was signed off by the teens father. A 16-year-old can be married with parental consent.
The next day, Thursday December 14, White was no longer employed by the Davis Public Schools.
Davis Police officers showed up at the Cleveland County Courthouse Thursday to look into the marriage license filing, as a part of the investigation. News 4 is not naming the teen, as he is the potential victim of a sex crime.
Under Oklahoma law, a person can be charged with rape if a victim, between 16-20 years old, has a sexual relationship with a teacher, at least 18-years-old, and that teacher is employed by the same school system where the student is enrolled.

Applying for a marriage license isn’t proof of sexual activity. He’s legal age to marry.
Would you care to bet that there was no sexual activity?
Plus parental approval. So why fire the teacher?
It’s a witch hunt. The law is probably unconstitutional due to the fact that the age of consent is 16. It’s probably true she can be fired, but I doubt there is a crime here.
The teacher was indeed fired. Announced by the school yesterday.
U folks are getting slow. We must establish guilt first.
There’s no evidence.

...The Davis Public Schools Sexual Harassment of Students Policy makes it clear that student-teacher relationships are taboo.
“Any romantic or sexual affiliation between school personnel and students, including students who have reached the age of majority (18) during school hours will have a negative impact on the educational process and shall constitute a violation and suspension or termination for the employee.”...
It’s none of your business. Two people at legal age to marry walking in for a marriage license doesn’t give the state a right to start investigating their sex life.
LOL
during school hours
You are reading it incorrectly. During school hours refers to over 18, when they would otherwise have no control with mere ‘policy’.
She was fired, indicating they are satisfied that she violated policy.
i think all this kid/teacher sex should be taken care of by the parents, not police. Yes, girls or boys.
i agree!
No picture of the bride to be?
