OK, IBM was asking for it at first.
But to knowingly release buggy product, using your customers as beta testers, and calling bugfixes a "service pack" is unadulterated nerve of the first order.
Infiltrate and gain control of big business. The names are well known to all of us.
Communist goal #37
Best practices in flame wars dictate that before flaming someone, you go to their homepage to find out more about them, so you can throw that into the insult, too.
If you had done that, you'd have discovered that your accusation couldn't be more wrong.
I wrote the following on FR over ten years ago now.
In other words, I didn't hastily make it up to try to backpedal from anything.
My concern is not wealth: but wealth gained by screwing US citizens in favor of everyone else.

And in case you think I'm in favor of stealing from the rich,
with
"government confiscation" ?
Look to see how much James Comey (yes, *that* James Comey) got from HSBC; or Dick Fuld, of the now NON-EXISTENT Lehman Brothers (that sure helped the shareholders, didn't it, going bankrupt.)
Or James Kilts, who was the CEO of Gillete for four years and got a severance of $164 million, mainly for selling the company to Procter & Gamble.
Most CEOs are sociopathic thieves.
Sam,
agree we have nothing near a free market system
I have owned Yahoo! stock in the past. I sold at a nice profit long before Marissa Meyer.
Other than that, I have never invested in the companies you mention. I once had an opportunity to work for HP, but didn’t, primarily because I perceived their management was poor — I had read about Carly’s antics.
The cure for the ills you describe is stockholder oversight, not government intervention.
You’re the one going on and on about government intervention and then getting upset at that prospect...I’m just busy pointing out that the executives are greedy slime who freely help themselves to others’ money, including shafting both their own employees and would-be employees who are natural-born citizens.
The less a person is affected by islam, communism, socialism, democrats or liberalism the better off he will be.
I don't care how much someone else has, only how much I have.
Just because someone has more than you doesn't mean they took your stuff.
the ultra rich got there by crony capitalism....period...
shysters and govt contracts and under the table payouts...
just like the mafia....
Gotta love that phrase “crony capitalism”; it tries so hard to make itself sound separate from Lenin’s New Economic Policy, which Red China also practices to a degree.
IOWS...upward mobility...something not so common these days...
if we could transport ourselves say back to 1947, if two parents both worked, they would be outrageously well off...rich...new cars every year...vacation homes...etc..
yet two parents work now, they still struggle...
wages have been artificially held down while the costs of every thing has increased exponentially....
sure, the costs of TV's and radios and microwaves has come down....but health insurance?...car insurance?...homes?...new cars?...
And make everything "Big Business" by not busting up monopolies.
exactly!!!!
when you have a big oil guy in Oklahoma able to donate money to Obama and get a nice multiple million dollar solar company up and "going" from free money from the govt(taxpayers)and then bankrupt the company and lay off the workers and STILL not pay the govt back, there is something seriously wrong with the system..
The people on this thread are saying, "He sent your job to a third world country to reduce costs, and pocketed the difference, instead of passing on the savings(*). And when that wasn't enough, he brought the Third World to the US to,undercut domestic wages, too. And he did either not knowing, or worse, not even caring, that the Third Worlders would bring crime with them, ruining your neighborhoods, *and* jacking up your taxes to pay for all the new social programs they'd require, and *that's* how he got rich."
Case in point: sneakers. Labor and materials sure as hell don't cost $150/pair. You'll say, market forces, that's what he can charge, start your own sneakers factory. But that's changing the subject, Mr. Lying Globalist scum--the high price proves the cost-cutting was not necessary to compete on price: so the cost cutting *must* have been due to naked inhuman greed. QED.
You are absolutely correct in your statements.
There are businesses, I.e., men who know how to play the "game".
They will use slave labor, illegal aliens or duplicitously use government subsidation to undercut honest American businessmen.
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams"
This also applies to our economic system.
If someone loves Mammon rather than God and his fellow man he can take advantage of the freedoms of our system.
We need look no further than many of our elected officials.
Merry Christmas!
"God bless us every one!"
Thank you. ;-)
