The only thing preventing the Bank from putting a STOP payment on the Draft and issuing a New one is GREED!!!
Agreed. Someone should be able to say “we never got the check, issue a new one”. And if someone tries to deposit the old one can now be prosecuted for theft and/or fraud.
TD banks have been popping up around here like mushrooms. This story makes me want to avoid them at all costs.
