“Animal’s can’t change their code by thinking..”

I did not say they “change their code” (DNA) but they very apparently can learn and can change their behavior. And what studies have shown is that under very long term changes in behavior what CAN change is, from what DNA there is in the nucleus, some genes will obtain more active expression while other genes will get triggered less. Same DNA.

Scientist have begun to learn that not all the DNA in every species (including humans) they see as “not active”, is or was or will be perpetually inactive. Conditions can and do cause the need for genes that are there to be expressed less, or more. We see this in humans in natal development where the mothers hormones, and their different levels her body happens to be expressing at the time, has some influence on gene expression (set to be active, or set dormant but present).

Changing behavior causes or retreats the levels of biological chemistry needed, including the substances that we call hormones (and others). Some have powerful effects on triggering or not triggering the DNA that is present. This happens in very simple terms with body chemistry all the time. Same DNA but over long stretches of time demonstrating variations in which genes that are present are working or dormant.

Our DNA has not changed, but while the social sexual aspects of sexual maturity (when people start reproducing) has been increasing in age, our physical sexual maturity (pubic hair, first menses, first ejaculation) has been declining in age. Same DNA, different behavior and in humans a strangely different physical time-clock moving in the opposite direction to our social time clock. And that is just in a short span of time.
