I just watched “The Great Race” a few days ago. Good Lord, Natalie Wood was HOT. Wow. Read her bio on Wiki — very interesting family history. Her mother pushed her very aggressively into films and moved the family to LA so she could be near the center of the movie universe. She quickly landed a child role. Her parents were Russian and she spoke Russian with an American accent. She got to put her Russian to use with one short line in “The Great Race.”
Your not kidding she was ultra hot, saw “The Great Race” in the hospital recovering from heart failure. Good thing I had received a pace maker. They had several of her movies on in the course of the day on TCM. Oh man!
