“I still have some leftover cough.”
two possibilities:
1. Persistent inflammatory irritation of the lungs induced by the original infection. Treatment is steroid and Beta2-adrenergic agonist inhalers or nebulizers. Example steroid is Aerospan and example Beta2-adrenergic agonist is albuterol/levalbuterol.
2. You developed a bacterial co-infection which is quite common. Treatment is with antibiotics.
I got my flu shot about a week ago. Was told it isn’t fully effective for 20 days.
Got a TERRIBLE flu late last winter. Was in bed for 2-3 days and just felt totally miserable and wiped. I said, for the first time in my life I FEEL OLD.
Decided I would get a shot every year from here on out.
Thanks. I almost went to the doc because I thought I had pneumonia. Then the cough and breathing started getting better but boy did it hang on. I have to go fo another reason anyway so Ill have him check.
