God is infinite. The cosmos is infinite. I've always wondered why scientists refer to all we can currently see as THE Universe. I've always believed that ours is only one among an infinite number of universes.

When has Nature or God ever created just one of anything?

Spending too much time in the tub. My question would be how does the water stay warm for that long?

" I say...Jolly good question, that. Now, get us a gin & tonic, there's a good lad."

The creator has not kept the knowledge of the universe from us.

True, and that fact is important. The Bible doesn’t bother to argue if God exists or not; it simply asserts it (I AM) and instead describes His characteristics to us. Why? Because it’s obvious He exists.

Exhibit 1: The observable universe.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.” (Ps 19:1-3)

So studying the cosmos reveals knowledge to us about Him. We can see billions of light years in any directiion and see over 100 billion galaxies, each with 100 billion stars. The glory of the heavens is a reflection of His own glory, and He wants us to see what He hath wrought. Gloria in exelcis Deo!

The most surprising fact is that we *can* see it. We can peer almost all the way back to the Big Bang itself. That should not be possible except by the wildest stroke of luck. By all rights the night sky should be a hazy fog or black. To see interesting galactic structures at that distance, to see all those majestic pinwheel galaxies, requires a nonlinear alpha opacity function that is absolutely perfect.

Basically the universe has to be frothy, like soap bubbles, to create the huge multibillion voids that let us peer that far away.

It is perfectly balanced to work out that way. Amazing coincidence don’t you think?

I believe an all powerful being could set up existence any way it chooses.

There are scientists who postulate alternate universes where none of the rules of our universe apply.

Very interesting to me.

Yes, a million trillion trillion googol years is a long time.

And at the end of it, Robert Mueller will still be trying to find evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to steal the White House from Her Royal Heinous, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
