I am reading a book now about NDE’s. That stands for Near Death Experiences. The title is IMAGINE HEAVEN and the author is John Burke. There are over a hundred stories told by the patients in their own words.

Read one story of a talented basketball player who had such an experience.
He navigated towards a “bright light” where he encountered an old teammate who had died years prior.

The teammate put his hands on his chest, pushed him backwards, and said: ”Not yet.”.
With that, he regained consciousness to find a team of doctors, nurses, and medical technicians working on him. Interesting stuff.

I have no doubt that all of us are here on a journey and that our final destination will depend upon whether we sought a life of good or a life of evil during our time. Those who choose good can be identified mostly through how they treat others.

A good friend of mine had such an experience a few years back, after a seizure led to him wiping out one side of his truck.
He’s not religious but his description of the event is similar to those we hear generally. He’s at peace and not afraid to die because he knows there’s a better place waiting.
