I am surprised “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” did poorly. Books in this series sell big. The last book, maybe others also, made it to No. 1. I didn’t see the movie. Was it that bad?

Dont know, didnt see it. Interpreting what Ive seen written and heard from kids, “The first one was good, this sucks. They waited too long after the first one. These are the wrong actors so Im not going to go see it.”

Different cast. That made the difference. I think people enjoyed the original cast and wasn’t accepting of change.
