What we see in the hospitals are a population who can’t handle the drug. Perhaps many can handle a couple of hits but the population we’ll see is a population perhaps you will never see in your particular rarified sect. The population we see aren’t handling it well at all. The traditional scenario is a youngster 18-30, male or female, starts off with smoking a few joints, then will take etoh, or throw in coke or opiates. Or they take a hit of what they thought was a joint but were never told about the ‘special ingredient’. Some of them just can’t take the stronger levels of THC found in pot now a days and become sick, dehydrated, disoriented and needing treatment. There is a lot of “synthetic” pot that makes some folks act like a crazed superperson and they often have to be restrained and sedated, only the sedation levels they need would stun an elephant.

So don’t try that ‘me and my reasonable pot smoking friends” routine. Are you ever sure that the pot you smoked over your “20 year pot career” never at one time came from a source where death and murder wasn’t used to protect the sources of your pot? I think of the people murdered in Mexico over the years and in other lands just so Americans can smoke their joint or shoot their dope...blood does follow illegal money and I believe many American pot smokers, coke and heroin users have innocent blood on their hands!

Really?! (2 decades into your pot smoking career?!)

“So don’t try that ‘me and my reasonable pot smoking friends” routine.”

I started using cannabis in 2015 at the age of 54 to treat depression anxiety that phama meds never properly treated. Now I am a medical marijuana patient here in Florida.

I meet people regularly at my doctor’s office & at the local dispensaries (we have 2 so far) who strike me as not just reasonable, but nice, hard working individuals. I see quite a few retired folks suffering from chronic pain at the dispensaries who prefer cannabis to opioids. If you met them on the street its likely you would never know they were using cannabis at all, let alone as medicine.

Of course, YMMV :)

Okay, but we're looking for the instances where those who succumbed to this dreaded screaming and vomiting nightmare succumbed to it due to marijuana use alone. In order to do this, we must factor out any and all instances where people succumbed due to marijuana plus any other thing, like coke or opiates or "special ingredients" or synthetic pot. Otherwise, we'll never get a true answer.

So don’t try that ‘me and my reasonable pot smoking friends” routine.

I know, right? I have to get over my instinct to trust my 50 years of experience on this planet, and instead, rely on British tabloid newspapers to tell me the real truth. Damn these lying eyes of mine.

Are you ever sure that the pot you smoked over your “20 year pot career” never at one time came from a source where death and murder wasn’t used to protect the sources of your pot?

Rather, I'm quite sure of it. Isn't it a shame that the War on Drugs took marijuana, something that can literally grow for free in the wild, and made it into a valuable commodity, and forced people who wanted to obtain it to interact with violent sociopathic criminal types?
