Mueller issued a subpoena to Germany’s largest lender several weeks ago, forcing the bank to submit documents on its relationship with Trump and his family, according to a person briefed on the matter, who asked not to be identified because the action has not been announced.

...

This could be SOP for such an investigation and do nothing more than reveal account numbers. The fact that it happened several weeks ago tells me that there was nothing to it, otherwise we’d have heard about it by now.

Another example why Freepers who think there's a secret Sessions/Mueller backdoor investigation ongoing against the Clinton cabal need to re-evaluate their fantasies...

Nothing to do with collusion, but everything to do with the fact that the EU wants Trump gone, too....

The whole thing is a fishing expedition.

He sure isn’t looking into bank records of those who may have hired the hit on Seth Rich.

From what I’ve read, the Russians didn’t want to pick a winner, but to destroy confidence in our elections. Thanks to the Democrats and their criminal media, the Russians have accomplished far more than they could have imagined.

Yep, Obama’s out running a planetary Survivor episode, trying to get CINC voted off the sphere.

RATS only respond to bludgeoning and terrier neck-snapping. We have no blunt instruments and no hungry ratters.

Thanks, ‘DOJ’.

What Mueller is doing is so anti-American. I believe he is working for the Democrats and Republicans. It’s not just Democrats.

This has two purposes. The first is to drive Trump into firing him so the house can be pushed into an impeachment. The second probably has some origins in the inquiry being made by the dems in NY’s AG office.

If subpena is served on a third party, the subject of the inquiry has no standing to object, the records are not his, they belong to the bank. Mueller the A hole could not find anything of note regarding Russian influence regarding Clinton even though he was involved personally in that event but is “searching” for influence regarding Trump?? Wow, jumped the shark here for sure.

The only thing such an inquiry could uncover would concern Trump enterprises investments in Russia or property dealings in the US, none of which have anything to do with influence.

This has turned into an impeachment inquiry. Kind of cart before the horse back door democrat inspired treason. The onus for an impeachment should come from the Congress, not some “special counsel”. The investigators should be assisting the congress in a declared inquiry, not some back door BS like this.

This whole crapbag of an inquiry is a conspiracy to deprive the voters of their constitutional right to a fair election.

Mueller has reached a dead end. Therefore, he needs to do something for Trump to fire him so the left can proclaim obstruction and thereby, Trump guilty of all that is naughty.

A Special Prosecutor doen’t have to justify his existence.

They merely investigate that which they were appointed to investigate.

This guy has gone off the rails...................

So the obstruction of Justice charge is a dead end?

Obstruction of Justice was used on theory that Trump fired Comey to stop investigations into Russia collusion.

No Russia collusion and, based on recent revelations about Andrew McCabe, Trump had more than enough justification to fire Comey for lying to him about McCabe.

This has two purposes.

I'm no expert here, but I saw two different purposes.

The first is to use "bank records" as a back-door justification for accessing Trump's tax records. Mueller will claim to want to see that Trump's financial reporting aligns with his bank transactions.

The second is to use a foreign bank instead of a domestic one, because it would be easier to block the subpoena of a domestic bank given that they are entitled to the full protection of American law where a foreign bank is controlled by their home law and United States financial regulations.

But I could be wrong...

That must be when he's not hiding in the closet, which doesn't seem to be very often.
