...although it takes something like 18 hours for one-way travel of the radio waves. And the bandwidth is now something like 20 baud (20 bits/second)...as in really, really, slow communication. And it’s plutonium battery is even running down.

Incredible spacecraft!

After sending the commands on Tuesday, it took 19 hours and 35 minutes for the signal to reach Voyager. Then, the Earth-bound spacecraft team had to wait another 19 hours and 35 minutes to see if the spacecraft responded. It did.

Amazing stuff.
