They keep talking about how big it is 6,142 acres, so why only open six mils of trails to the public? I'm glad they finally made it open to the public without a permit.
Did you ever get there?
I see happy hunting grounds for muggers, rapists, murderers and every other kind of thug amongst the disarmed Californians.
You have no idea what you are talking about. You could drop your wallet there and it would be returned to you with everything in it.
This is all for the super-wealthy super leftist who live in Santa Cruz, San Jose, SF south bay area.
No, that’s Castle Rock State Park.
NO JUST ILLEGALS
The mountain lions will be happy.
“You have no idea what you are talking about. You could drop your wallet there and it would be returned to you with everything in it.”
Where is the /sarc?
.
This is all a big smoke screen to hide the fact that all of this land has been taken off the tax rolls, but only a small part of it is being made accessable.
Much of the land is buffering the estates of the original owners, but now they will pay no more taxes on it.
.
Ya got to know this region. Illegals for the most part don’t take nature walks for health to see twigs and dirt or take $4,000 mountain bicycles, they don’t own, on the trails.
.
This is FreeRepublic; we have no need for superfluous ‘tags.’
.
Its not the “illegals” we have to worry about; its the Earth NAZI.
.
They will go because its Free have you ever saw California parks
Ya mean near San Pedro, San Berdo, or LA? Ya think this park is in this same type venue or has same type people as Santa Cruz/San Jose?
Think again.
Not wanting to argue just being a bit flippant, but yes know the area well
Watch out for this group (Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District) they are taking over everything they can get their slimy hands on.
This is great that the lower La Honda part is opening up! Thanks for posting this. Have you done Umunhum yet? One of the guys on this week had just done it and was raving about it.
Here's the map to the upper part of La Honda that I was going to do. It needs a permit which the OSD get to you very quickly:

Why would you say something so blatantly stupid and ignorant? Do you enjoy looking like the fool? You get out on these trails and you meet people from every walk of life. I’ve yet to meet a “super-wealthy super leftist” on our trails.
