Foster Brooks, a performer playing drunk as opposed to a drunk performer! He did it much better than the audience could appreciate. The wonder of the time is that all of the comedians of that era could get laughs in ‘family time’ as well as in the late night profanity shows. Not an ability known for the current crop of ‘comics’.
Didn’t they say that about Dean Martin also?
