Lenin had the “Who, Whom” question. In this case the Who is the GOPe corporate donors and the Whom is the rest of us. No tax bill is better than this.
Those SOBs don’t ever think that they could decrease SPENDING by $350 Billion in a pinch. Corker, Lankford and Dane (and probably McCain) should be horsewhipped for this stupid suggestion. Businesses and individual taxpayers want to plan ahead and not be subjected to this open-ended credit card requested by these idiots. No one should trust this government with their money.
They are trying to sabotage. Isn’t that clear to everyone yet? Why don’t they have automatic spending cuts of the Muller investigation or any one of a hundred “agencies”

Since I’m a firm believer that that tax bill will hugely stimulate economic growth (and hence tax receipts from that growth) I have no problem with this new “trigger” provision if that is what it takes to ensure passage.
Congress does not want to lower taxes for hardworking individuals, so for every piece of legislation that does lower taxes for hardworking individuals, Congress institutes a mechanism to take it back.
After all, in the ideology of crony corporatism, people are just drones to keep the machinery of global companies going.
Could you imagine telling your kids ...”Hey, if you spend too much, I’m going to have to give you more money”. Not really a huge incentive to not spend.
The economy enters recession, revenues slow so we raise taxes. Brilliant.
