Yes, phosphates are an old fashioned drink; however, in some places, they were still being made in several different places in the 1950s and early '60s, on the Eastcoast.
I don't think that you can still get them nor the counter made cherry/lemon/vanilla cokes.
OTOH...I think that you can still get a "black cow" ( my grandmother's favorite soda fountain drink ) today.
Not to worry....
Neat....like watching an old movie on the late show.
Cool, Cov!
I got in trouble on that thread for mixing up Malted Milks with Milk Shakes, lol.
Yes; I see that there’s a recipe in your link.
Mmm....that’s why I posted here...escape hatch.
;>)
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Thank you, Liz! Just beautiful.
Happy holidays....and lots of good dishes.
Merry Christmas, Liz. Nice Pic.
The white chocolate haystacks have given me a low sugar idea. Enrobing pretzels and peanuts in super dark chocolate. Yesssss, will try it.
I keep my super dark chocolate in the freezer.
Back when I had a sweeter tooth, I used to put those storebought iced raisin cookies in the freezer and eat them that way. Mmmmm.
I liked Chinese almond cookies too until one day I saw the ingredients. Lard, baby. No wonder they were so good.
Yes, how DID those lemon coolers taste so cold?!
Another gluten free substitute for bread crumbs in savory recipes: the powdered potatoes! Cheap and really good. I just tried it in meatloaf recently. It works.
I just saw this little peanuts greeting to me, Liz! Same to you! Lots of fun eats and bakes! Nice that you sent me the gif of the peanuts guys skating. I just bought myself a pair of ice skates and intend to get to one of the outdoor rinks one day soon. I havent been on skates in at least 10 years. Wish me luck.
Merry Christmas to you!
Liz, got around to making the apricot/coconut confections today. I thought I had papaya in the pantry but discovered this morning it was dried mango. Made a double batch and they were perfectly easy and yummy! They’ll be in with goodie gifts. Thanks for the recipe.
It’s a great recipe.....will add your variation to the original.
