ahhhhhhhhhhh bummer. :-((
Your story reminded me of my youth when I was invited to meet a friend at a party. The house was somewhere around Sudbury or Concord. Both towns are upscale and very definitely liberal.
I invited a girl friend to come along. We went into what we thought was the right house. It was all lit up and lots of cars outside. She was quite attractive and was wearing boots, a short leather skirt, rather tight sweater and carrying a bottle of wine. We walked into the house, didn’t recognize anyone, and walked into the kitchen where there were about 10 liberal women - no makeup and probably wearing birkenstocks. oops - wrong house.
I still laugh today when I think how we immediately turned on our heel and realized we were absolutely in the wrong house. A couple of men tried to say hello as we left but probably got into trouble for that. I’m still laughing when I think about that night. I’m sure those liberal women were happy that we left.
