Too modern for my taste, but I love the high tech ideas.

Oh, Australia!
Such excess is surely killing the environment, and hurting the poor! Such unequal use of resources must be stopped!
I insist that taxes be raised in the US and all American businesses be crippled immediately!

Too modern for your tastes? Since we moved to Southern Connecticut, we do not have a single curtain in our house. All the windows are "naked" so to speak and we have two "walk-in showers" that are open to the whole world.
But that world consists of squirrels, deer and the occasional coyote.

I saw a house like that when I was househunting in Westchester County NY. The shower was pure glass wall to the outdoors and so large they used a wool tartan shower curtain.
Yours sounds PERFECT!

Hmm. I’m outdated by a mere 30 years or so. Bathroom upgrades are pretty pricey. I’ve changed the sink fixtures and cabinet pulls, that’s about it.

The rainfall showers are nice unless you are on a well in which case they become drizzle heads.
For most people, the oversized tubs look nice but in practice they take too long to fill and the people who can afford them discover that they don't have time to take long soaking baths and they lapse into extended disuse.

Our master bedroom shower is similar to the below pic, not exactly pure glass wall to the outside. Though we wouldn't mind if it was. We live in Fairfield County, CT but considered Westchester County, NY when we first came down here. Very similar actually.

I’d also hate to lean over to clean the large tubs. And how do you clean behind and under the freestanding ones?

Perfect for dating and bringing home younger women. (If I were single.)

A sound of rain recording and a rain video would be kind of cool.

Why are you doing the cleaning? Get a maid. A US citizen or someone legally authorized to work in the US of course.

I drilled out the restrictor on my shower head to increase the flow

I like white. Easy to clean and see dirt. I hate rain showers. Whats the point. It just drips a lot of water. I put in two new showers for me and my wife in two houses. Sliding frosted doors. Clear doors require a lot of cleaning. I have 3 jets coming out of the wall that work like a car wash. Then there is the regular shower above and the hand held. I can turn on any one or any number of them. It does the trick. And I love taking a shower.

All that garbage looks so retail, or hi rise commercial. Gak~. And what they want to redo a kitchen or a couple of baths nowadays, one could purchase an entire home in some venues. No joke.
