Bama was grossly overrated. Their best win was against 3 loss LSU who also lost to FCS Troy!!! Oh yeah, they beat 6 loss Florida State as well.
Auburn lost to LSU. Not sure how that happened.

Alabama beat FSU the first game of the season 24-7 when a very healthy FSU team was rated #3 in the polls. They beat them on a neutral field. The FSU quarterback was knocked out late in the 4th quarter when the game was all but over. Before Bama knocked him out for the season he was a Heisman favorite and FSU was favored to win the ACC, not Clemson.
Troy is not FCS, hasn’t been for several years.

Clemson lost to 4-8 Syracuse.
Miami lost to 4-8 Pittsburg.
Oklahoma lost at home to 7-5 Iowa State.
Ohio State lost to Iowa 24-55.
Yep that 14-26 Bama loss to 10-2 Auburn should just eliminate the Tide from all consideration considering all those quality losses above.
There really aren't any truly superior teams this year, and the above have no stronger claim to a playoff spot than several other teams.
