Maybe it's the shock of it all, but can't believe no one had already posted a thread about this.
Lol, who did that one: Herbstreit? He’s always trying to pimp OSU into the playoffs regardless.
But this week Wisconsin should be #1. They’ve beat everyone on their schedule including the powerhouse Iowa that tounced OSU by 21 points. It’s a farce that the two new polls have Clemson at #1 after their loss to 4-8 Syracuse, the weakest team in their division and the second weakest in the entire ACC after NC. And then Oklahoma with their at home loss to unranked, 7-5 Iowa State.
Some of the voters love to pretend that terrible losses to weak teams shouldn’t even be considered.
BS, there is only one major conference team that is undefeated and that is Wisconsin. And of the one loss teams, Bama lost to by far the best team. Many of the losses by one loss teams are an embarassment: Clemson, Miami and Oklahoma. Losses to unranked, and in two cases, terrible teams.
That should be given serious consideration, but some voters want to pretend those losses never happened.
Dinich covers the CFP committee and is a Heisman voter. Herbstreit is consistently anti-Buckeyes. What she is showing you is what the prognosticator 538 Nate Silver has on its site

You are not recognizing the fact that there are no dominant teams, no perfect teams. Every team has weaknesses and except for the case in Wisconsin to date they have all been exposed for that weakness.
This season is a reason why there should be an expanded playoff, either 6 or 8 teams. Reduce the number of out of conference games by 1 and this would accommodate a quarterfinal, semifinal and final.
Did you happen to note how that Michigan State team that eliminated OSU fared that year in the 2015 playoffs? Ill remind you: Alabama 38 MSU 0
We knew that was going to happen, because MSU barely beat a weak Iowa team in the Big Ten Championship game. After having crushed no. 12 Michigan 42-13 in Ann Arbor, OSU ended up crushing no. 8 Notre Dame 44-28 in the Fiesta Bowl.
Alabama lost to Auburn which one of its losses was to LSU which in turn lost to TROY...just sayin. With Notre Dame’s third loss to 3 loss Stanford (which lost to San Diego State) the SEC sos is going to be scrutinized more closely).
I’m not interested in anyone’s scenario’s at this point since there are still games to be played.
And Herbstreit does pimp for OSU, but a certain event caused him to back off to some extent. Back when Tebow was at Florida, there had been a major OSU-Michigan game that year and OSU won it. But Herbstreit said over and over that the Big 10 was the superior league and the NC game should be a rematch between OSU and Michigan.
He did his best, but the voters didn’t go along and the NC game was between OSU and Florida. Of course, Florida beat OSU handily and won the NC. And that year began the near dominance of the SEC in NC games.
I’ve said several times here and elsewhere that there are no outstanding teams this year. That’s been apparent for several weeks. And I do believe that those terrible losses should actually be given more weight than any teams best wins. When teams lose to some of the weakest teams in their conference, they don’t deserve such high ranking.
If Alabama had beaten Auburn yesterday, but had an earlier loss to Ole Miss, the Bama haters would be going berserk pointing out a loss to a weak team as a reason Bama shouldn’t be in the top four.
Don’t knock Troy. I didn’t watch the game, but some folks think Troy should have beaten Clemson last year, that some questionable calls cost them the game. Final score was 30-24 at Clemson. So, they did beat LSU. That should impress you.
Troy can pop up and compete with most anyone who’s not on their best game on a given Saturday.
The SEC needs no defense, least of all Alabama or Auburn. No conference or schools have had as much success over the past ten or so years, or for many years prior. You’re just making stuff up and making yourself look silly.
At the website you play around with your own scenarios. You make the selections and they give you the probability.
Herbstreit doesn’t pimp for OSU. Why do you think he moved out of Ohio to Tennessee? To get away from angry OSU fans.
Do the analytics (see links below). The only way Alabama has a shot to get in is if TCU beats Oklahoma AND Ohio State beats Wisconsin.

On any given Saturday (or Thursday or Friday night)...anybody can beat anybody.
Who cares about the last 10 years? Ask Clemson. Every year is a new season. Deal with it.
It’s unreal how just about everything is on yahoo.com these days.

The “Troy got robbed” notion is prominent in those videos and comments.
Don’t knock Troy.
Total BS like most of what you post. A few less known teams like Troy can be a threat to most any team if that team doesn't play it's best, but what you say to try and deflect reality from showing up your silly arguments is nonsense.
I’ve heard Herbstreit this past week giving scenarios that would justify OSU being in the playoffs. And those websites , like the global warming models, contain assumptions that serve the purposes of those who desgined them.
And I’m sticking with my contention that terrible losses to bottom dwelling teams, such as Clemson’s loss to Syracuse, should count far more than a loss to a highly ranked team. And no later wins erase such embarrassing losses to bottom dwellers. If the committee wants to ignore such losses, then they just diminish the integrity of their decisions.
Iowa State v. Oklahoma, Syracuse v. defending nationsl champs Clemson, Pitt v. Miami, San Diego State v. Stanford...any given Saturday.
Carry on with posting more of your worthless dribble...
Too bad Alabama’s best wins are against 3 loss LSU and a 4 loss Miss St...
Im tired of hearing about Alabamas weak schedule. They were the preseason #1 team in the country in the AP poll and have been there the entire year. Even when the hyped up BCS rankings came out that would jump teams 4 or 5 positions depending if the won or not, Alabama was still ranked #1 in the country by the AP, as in sports reporters. Theyll fall now because they finally lost on the field. Contrast Alabama with Wisconsin, who hasnt lost a game this year. They were barely in the top 10 in the AP poll the entire year. The reason is simple. They rarely blew anyone out and and no one thought they were any good. I heard today that if Wisconsin and Alabama played next week Alabama would be a 2 touchdown favorite against them. I fully expect Ohio State to best them next weekend. Alabama will probably be left out of the BCS because they had the misfortune of losing the first regular season game in 2 years and lost that game to the team many are calling the best team in the country. Clemson is being hailed as some great team inspite of losing to lowly Syracuse a month ago. Alabama has the same problem as the NE Patriots. Both teams are penalized for losing a game because people are tired of seeing them win all the time.
Lol, too bad the last two Big 10+4 teams allowed in the playoffs lost 38-0 and 31-0. That really raises a question of whether any Big 10+4 team should be in the final four.
You Big 10+4 fans better hope the committee members have their pretend hats on and firmly in place.
If Wisconsin doesn't win the conference championship, there should be NO Big 10+4 rep due to the extremely weak showings of the most recent two allowed in.
Yeah, more worthless dribble from an SEC bot. Unfortunately for you Bama has only 1 CFP championship in 3 appearances, and without a TCU and an OSU victory this weekend will be watching this year’s CFP on TV.
And FSU was pre-season number 3 before they lost 6 games on the season. Tells you all you need to know about pre-season rankings.
FSU lost six games because Bama knocked out probably the best quarterback in the country. Hes still out. Why havent you talked about Auburns cream puff out of conference schedule. Other than Clemson, who they lost to, they played nobody. Missouri, Mercer and LA-Monroe. If Georgia beats them in Atlanta, Auburn will be watching the playoffs on TV.
You don’t lose SIX games by losing a starting QB. You lose 6 games because you are a do dumpster fire of a team. The coach is so overrated it’s a joke.
