A conference champ will not be left out for a team whose best win is 3 loss LSU which one of those losses was to FCS TROY. OSU will be in, Bama in a New Year’s day bowl.

Alabama beat FSU the first game of the season 24-7 when a very healthy FSU team was rated #3 in the polls. They beat them on a neutral field. The FSU quarterback was knocked out late in the 4th quarter when the game was all but over. Before Bama knocked him out for the season he was a Heisman favorite and FSU was favored to win the ACC, not Clemson.

Pre season rankings are the most subjective if them all. Fast forward and Florida State has 6 losses on the year, hardly a resume enhancer

Since becoming Bowl subdivision, Troy has beaten a ranked Oklahoma State and a ranked Missouri.
They were very, very close to beating number one Clemson last year.

OSU was blown out at home by Oklahoma and destroyed by an unranked Iowa team one week later, 55 to 24. There is no way the committee would pick them over Alabama. Ain’t happening.

They beat Texas State 62-9 Friday and will move up.

Don’t bet the mortgage on that. When they beat Wisconsin they would have beaten 2 top 10 CFP teams in Penn State and Wisconsin, beaten top 15 Michigan State, lost to No 1 or No 2 Oklahoma. And they would have just been crowned champs of the best conference in college football.

There was absolutely no reason for Alabama to have been in the top five. Of course not. They've only won four of the last eight national championships. If they can't do any better than that, they shouldn't be allowed to compete at the Division I level.
