nobody asserted that "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" was the lyric substituted on this occasion. Nor did I indicate that it was. In fact, I pointed out that, chronologically, it could NOT have been.
My point was that we Americans have tweaked John Bull's beard around the anthem "God Save the King" in other ways as well.

A little googling turns up dozens of British built forts & trading posts throughout Ohio & Michigan, many maintained into the 1790s.
