Yes it was good once. I could not believe how lightly eBay treated this issue. These were fraudulent transactions originating from their website and they just brushed it off. Now, PayPal and the cc company were very concerned and seemed truly appreciative that we reported this theft. The weird thing about it was the merchandise ordered was sent to our home address! Why would you steal someone’s cc number only to order stuff to be sent to the victims? Where’s the benefit to the thief?
I read once that they may have hoped to steal it off your front porch between delivery time and your awareness that it had arrived. If you were home and alert, they were foiled.
My wife’s CC was used to buy a go pro that was shipped to the home address.
Within a day of it’s arrival and for a few days later, FedEx was sent to pick it up to take it to some bogus place in Miami.
I called FedEx and they seemed unconcerned about how many times a truck was being sent for nothing.
The camera was returned and damage handled.
I had my cc # stolen back a couple years ago after Target was hacked. Anyway - we received a couple of small, inexpensive objects to our home address. Of course, we didn’t order them and immediately questioned it, but we were told by the cc company that they will buy these small items as a test before the *big* purchases are made.
