Wasp, hornet and yellow jacket are not interchangeable terms as the ignorant author seems to believe.
I have a constant battle with yellowjackets and honeybees. I’ve wiped out at least a dozen beehives that have gotten into the joists between my first and second floors. I have one right now I’m trying to get rid of. 3 hives have been killers, it’s easy to tell the difference. If you get near a killer beehive, you get stung once or twice. Then you know to mow at dusk, when they can’t see you. I live near the Live Oak and Bee County, TX, lines, aptly named. Hate bees and wasps. Got stung about 30-40 times once by bees, and stung on the eyelid by wasps.
“Wasp, hornet and yellow jacket are not interchangeable terms as the ignorant author seems to believe.”
Are you referring to the statement by the exterminator where he refers to a ‘hornets’ nest’?
Hornets and Yellow Jackets are both wasps.
The “ignorant author” as you so smartly stated being of superior intelligence was obviously only relaying what the exterminator had told him as the statement was in “quotes”
Genus:”Flying A$$holes” all of them.
