Great story for Thanksgiving. I am wondering why we don’t have services that would help someone with their paperwork, etc.. Being a Vet would surely qualify this man for assistance.

This is where gospel minded churches could so obviously come in.

The “conservative” folk of the nation probably are now thinking about dealing with the down-and-out as “Oh, I gave at the office (in my pay check) for that.” But the mess that is the secular liberal state is at best haphazard. And if it saw some actual gospel powered competition, people might begin to think HEY! the church charities (donating time and effort, not just money) really DO have their heads on straight.

He is a man. This gynocentric society doesn’t give a shiite about men. Except to pay for stuff and die for them.

I can say from experience with several vets that it is damned near impossible to get the DoD or VA to help with lost papers. Literally starting a Congressional investigation is sometimes the only way.

This young man will have several paychecks under his belt before he gets his DD13 or DD214. It is a true nightmare dealing with these bureaucracies. Maybe the publicity will help expedite ..
