I have horses & if anyone tried that with me, they would get hit with whatever I could lay my hands on. I might even pull a stirrup & leather off the saddle & swing it. My stirrups are very heavy. You would have it coming.
I’m reminded of the fox hunt scene from the 3rd, “Omen,” movie “The Final Conflict.”

I don’t see how the saboteurs have a leg to stand on. They were the aggressors and they placed the rider in danger from spooking her horse. I guess if that hunt were in Texas, all the club members would have drawn on the saboteurs and plugged them. There in England, she had a perfect right to defend herself and her horse. I would have been soooo ticked at them, I’m quite sure I would have beaten the living crap out of them with my crop.
The horse was just happy not to be the one feeling the whip. I only wish she had a polo mallet.

Had that horse lashed out at that moron either with its front legs or most especially with it’s end legs it would have seriously injured that idiot or even killed him. It amazes me to no end how a lot of people simply don’t understand what a very powerful animal a horse is.
