I’m pretty sure she’s not a religious Jew, so she probably has no clue what the Torah might say about the fate of the Jews.
The Jewish holy book is the Talmud. I heard interviews from four Jewish Rabbis and that was an eye-opener -- the major Jewish sects pretty much reject the Bible starting in Genesis 1:1.
A true Jew would recognize Jesus as the Messiah, as Jesus explains:
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another comes in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? (John 5:43-47)
Paul explains in Romans 2:28-29:
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter,; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
