Don't worry if Chris Matthews keeps talking: the Dems won't listen to him anyway. Further, there's something going on even Chris Matthews doesn't get. I'm a white upper middle class person who voted for Trump. Although I live in one of those places where it seemed “everyone” voted for HRC, it turned out there were sizable minorities that voted for Trump. Here are two examples: the Manhattan neighborhood of the Upper East Side and the city of Beverly Hills, while going for HRC overall, still had about 28% of its voters pulling their levers for Trump. They didn't talk about it, but on Election day, 28% went for Trump. So, there ARE white upper middle and rich people who share the values and even the concerns of white working class people. And some of us even resent the way the Dems mock white working class people. You see, many of us come from working class or even poor people...and Chris Matthews is onto to something: when I see reruns of All in the Family, I know Norman Lear was mocking my grandparents, and I know the only reason Lear made Archie Bunker Protestant was so that Archie could say bigoted things about the Catholic Church.
So, yes, Chris Matthews is right on this one...but the Dems won't listen.
