Sometimes I wonder how news stories happen when they do.
For example, the Weinstein story exploded one day last month.
And people such as Meryl Streep professed to be just shocked, nobody knew, etc.
yet we can go back and see where Harvey Weinstein jokes were told in Academy Awards shows and TV sitcom dialogue. It was an open secret that Harvey Weinstein was the way he is.
So I wonder, how it is, that the NY Times decided to run stories about Weinstein to get the ball rolling? who decided to go after Weinstein?
A bit off topic, but we learned in retrospect that the Washington Post and Newsweek had the Lewinsky story, but sat on it for many months. It was Drudge who got the ball rolling on breaking the Lewinsky story when it broke.
So while I abhor what Weinstein has done, I think there’s an untold story, as to why the news media decided to go with his story at this time.

I concur. He was a pawn in a larger chess game, and someone knowingly sacrificed him.
It’s Ronan Farrow. He’s strong enough and motivated enough to go up against Big Hollywood. His “father” is a famous Hollywood guy who raped kids. His sister for one.
About a week ago someone speculated on this forum that one or more high ranking DemonRats decided to take Harvey down as a way to get to the Clintons, the idea,being to deprive them of one of their largest financiers. Strikes me as possible, since the Witch has been running around the country like a rabid skunk, attacking as many DemonRats as Republicans and blaming them for her 2016 defeat. A bad thing to have happening when they’re trying to get on message to defeat President Trump.

I agree with you and have been saying this from the start. Why now, after this garbage has been going on for a very long time, did they decide to throw HW under the bus. Who approved it and why? Maybe it’s to draw attention away from the even more abhorrent pedo crimes. Very interesting.
Yeah it feels like there was a purpose behind the Weinstein stories being released in October. They could have certainly ran that story years ago.
Michael isikoff had the Lewinsky story. I have wondered if he is CIA. I had a meeting with him in Claremont, CA and presented info to him about Hillay’s campaign finance fraud in her first Senate race (which was the subject of HILLARY! UNCENSORED). He never used the info.
