I think sex addiction is real. However, it’s harder to be sympathetic towards sex addicts because the initial behaviors — cheating on their wives, watching porn, going to strip joints — were per se immoral, whereas having a beer or a glass of wine isn’t. However, I suppose being judgmental is unchristian. In any case, if therapy and medication can help people control their sexual behavior, I think those are good things. They are not replacements for religion and moral behavior, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t valuable.
